one day cricket match. It was played between our school and govt. school team
on our ground. A large number of spectators had come to witness the match. Two
cricketers acted as umpires. They were noted for their judgment and
impartiality. One of the umpires blew the whistle and both the captain entered
the field. There was the spin of a coin. Our team won the toss and it chooses
to bat.

The players of the govt. school went in to field.
Our batting was excellent. The batting of our captain Mr. Hashim, was very strong.
He scored as many as five boundaries. He raised the total of runs to 198. He
displayed fine sportsmanship. The other player too played well. At every hit
the spectators cheered. The whole team made 225 runs.
Thus our team won the match by a big
margin. But he opponents did not feel disappointed. They had played game for
the sake of playing. Victory or defeat did not matter much. Then umpires and
the players had light refreshment. Our captain and the coach were the recipient
of hearty congratulations.
