A football match or Football Match Essay or Fifa World Cup:-Football is an interesting and manly game. It
gives a great deal of physical exercise. It is well devised for the development
of bodily excellence. It also does good service in the training of the will and
intellect.
A few days ago in the afternoon, a highly interesting
game was played at jalandhar between the pioneer sports club and the government
school team it was a fine match. A large crowd of people gathered to witness
the match. Both the teams were in their best forms and displayed great skill.
The match started at 5:30 pm on the
government college grounds Mr. Manjit Singh was the referee and he was fair and
strict.

In the first half, the game was rather
slow. The government school team seems a bit over confident of its victory and
therefore, did not take the game very seriously in the last five minutes the
P.S club made concentrated attack and scored a goal. This was an occasion for
vociferous cheers and loud outburst of joy.

After an interval of ten minutes, the game
started again at first the government school team tried to rush the ball through
the goal, but a lucky kick sent the ball rolling away. It seemed that the
players of the P.S Club had been warned to play the defensive. And this they
did with splendid success. This enabled their men to reserve their energies.
But towards the end, their forwards began pushing, and most of the game was
near the opponent’s goal. At last a penalty kick gave them a chance and they
scored one more goal.
The game was played at a face pace all
along. Raja played outstandingly in the loser’s defense, but due to the selfish
play of pandey, the government school lost a number of chances to score. The
match ended with two goals to love in favour of P.S Club.
